FITC-conjugated anti-bovine primary antibodies combine fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) with bovine-specific antigen recognition, enabling fluorescence-based detection. FITC exhibits bright green emission (Ex 495 nm, Em 519 nm), making it compatible with 488 nm lasers and widely used in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and microplate assays.
Fluorophore Properties
FITC reacts with lysine residues to form stable thiourea bonds. It shows high quantum yield (0.92) and optimal performance at an F/P ratio of 3–5, balancing fluorescence intensity and quenching.
Antibody Design
Targets include bovine IgG, IgM, albumin, CD markers, and cytokines. Formats range from whole IgG to F(ab')₂ fragments, with affinity purification and cross-adsorption ensuring specificity.
Applications
- Flow Cytometry: PBMC immunophenotyping (1:50–200 dilution).
- Immunofluorescence: Tissue antigen localization (1:100–500).
- Immunoassays: Sensitive ELISA detection.
- Microscopy: Confocal imaging and co-localization studies.
