Biotinylated Anti-Bovine Primary Antibodies

Biotinylated Anti-Bovine Primary Antibodies

Biotinylated anti-bovine primary antibodies are widely used for sensitive detection through signal amplification strategies. These antibodies incorporate small biotin moieties that enable strong and specific interactions with streptavidin-based detection systems, significantly enhancing analytical sensitivity across multiple immunoassays.

Detection Principle

Biotin is covalently conjugated to lysine residues on the antibody structure without compromising antigen recognition. Streptavidin or avidin binds biotin with exceptionally high affinity, forming a stable complex. When conjugated to enzymes or fluorophores, streptavidin enables amplified signal generation, improving detection limits.

Antibody Characteristics

  • Typically contain 3–8 biotin molecules per IgG while preserving full antigen-binding capacity.
  • Engineered to maintain structural integrity and assay compatibility.
  • Cross-adsorbed to minimize non-specific interactions and background noise.

Major Applications

  • ELISA: Enables pg/mL-level detection of bovine serum proteins.
  • Western blot: Supports detection of low-abundance protein targets.
  • Immunohistochemistry: Facilitates precise antigen localization in tissue sections.
  • Flow cytometry: Allows multiplexed, high-sensitivity cellular analysis.
