Ten-Eleven Translocation antibodies

Ten-Eleven Translocation antibodies

TET antibodies are immunoreagents designed to detect the Ten-Eleven Translocation (TET) family of dioxygenases, including TET1, TET2, and TET3. These enzymes catalyze the oxidation of 5-methylcytosine (5mC) into 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), initiating active DNA demethylation and regulating epigenetic processes involved in gene expression, stem cell maintenance, cellular differentiation, and development.

Antibody Types and Formats

TET antibodies are available for each member of the TET family in monoclonal, recombinant monoclonal, and polyclonal formats. TET1 antibodies are widely validated for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, chromatin immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and immunocytochemistry. TET2 antibodies include rabbit recombinant monoclonal and polyclonal variants suitable for Western blotting, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA, while TET3 antibodies are commonly validated for Western blotting and ELISA.

Applications and Advantages

  • Epigenetic research: Enables the investigation of DNA demethylation pathways and hydroxymethylation dynamics mediated by TET enzymes.
  • Broad application range: Validated for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), ELISA, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Species compatibility: Most antibodies are developed against human TET proteins and exhibit confirmed cross-reactivity with mouse and rat samples. Specialized antibodies for Drosophila TET are also available for model organism studies.
